Playing baseball

Concord is one of America's top 20 "Kid Friendly" suburban cities with nationally-recognized youth swimming, gymnastics, baseball, boxing, wrestling, softball and soccer programs and a Recreation After-School Program (RAP) for middle school students. Families enjoy a wealth of recreational offerings from golfing and hiking to youth and adult sports leagues.

The National Champion Terrapin Swim Team and 11-time World Champion Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps are located in Concord as well as the annual Concord Cup youth sports series, allowing athletes 4 to 19 to complete in a variety of sports including soccer and swimming.

The City of Concord offers a multitude of recreational programs, events and classes for all age groups, and operates Camp Concord at South Lake Tahoe: a family and group camp for children ages 8 to 14 in the Sierras. Open from June through August each summer since 1967, Camp Concord offers fun, growth, adventure and friendship.
