The Contra Costa Police Athletic Association presents the 10th Annual Kops for Kids Golf Classic. The tournament will benefit at-risk youth in Contra Costa County through our Kops for Kids Youth Mentoring Programs and our Positive Mental Attitudes Program & Sports Clinics.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover |
|
Bring your stuffed animal or doll for a sleepover at the library! We'll read them stories and do a craft, then tuck them in for the night. But who knows what they'll be up to after the library closes! You can pick up your animal the next morning between 10:30 and noon and see pictures of their slumber party.

Concord Art Association (CAA) announces guest artist Judi Visscher September 14th, 2010 |

Award winning watercolorist Judi Visscher, developed a love for art at an early age. She was encouraged to cultivate her appreciation of a variety of art forms. She has been developing her own skill over a lifetime.
Upon retiring as an elementary school teacher, Judi opted to spend her time focusing on the joy of creative expression. She began immersing herself in art classes, workshops, and painting prolifically.
After exploring numerous media, the challenge of watercolor became her passion.

Young children & their families are invited to join the nonprofit Contra Costa Child Care Council for hands-on fun, pint-sized entertainment & free kids' books. Activities include finger painting, book-making, sand play & kids' obstacle courses. Children's entertainment includes the Blue Fairy Storyteller, a puppet show and young West African and Ballet Folklorico dancers. Play and learn together.

12th annual Bob Fowler Memorial Soccer Tournament |

The area's premier competitive soccer club, Diablo FC, is hosting its 12th annual Bob Fowler Memorial Soccer Tournament in Concord Sept. 27-28, 2008. Tournament is for U12, U14, U16 and U19 Division 3 boys and girls age groups. Weekend of tournament play in Concord on excellent fields.
Free admission for spectators.
